As both a mother and an award-winning cosmetic chemist, our founder, Alexis Forbes-Moorehead, understands the unique journey of caring for tightly coiled hair. Growing up, she struggled with her own 4C texture, often resorting to harsh chemicals and damaging heat to make her hair feel “acceptable.”

Years later, as a mom of three beautiful little curlies with coily hair of their own, Alexis realized the same struggle still existed: where were the effective products truly made for Type 4 curls? Determined to create something better, she founded Little Curlies, a plant-based, science-backed hair care brand lovingly made just for toddlers to teens with Type 4 textures.
